I am Fr Chris Ponnet from Los Angeles CA USA

I am searching my mothers ancestors--I am in Ennis at this time but can travel south between now and end of August

My great grandfather was Jeremiah Breen --born in Kerry between 1836-1841 and his wife is Abigail/Margaret? Sulllivan (maybe married 4/3/1821 in Kenmore)  is all we have from the family bible.

His parents were Jeremiah Breen and Kate O'Brine

Jeremiah parents were Dan O'Sullivan and Ellen BRennen

Dan's parents were James OBrine and Kate McElroy?

Anyone connected would be greatly appreciate finding cousins etc.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The 19th century (up to around 1880) available church records for Co. Kerry are on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie. That site also has a Civil Records TAB where you can search free for images of civil records: births 1864-1916, marriages 1870-1941, deaths 1878-1966. Your message indicates that Jeremiah Breen was born around 1836-1841 and he was married to Abigail/Margaret Sullivan in 1821 in Kenmore ( which is likely Kenmare). I’m assuming the 1821 was a typo?

In any event, I searched the site for a possible marriage record and found a lead but it needs more verification. There is a June 16th marriage in the Beaufort RC parish between a Jeremiah Breen and a Gobnet Sullivan. Beaufort is the parish just to the north of Kenmare. Also Gobnet is a variant to Abigail. Jeremiah was shown as being from Cappa which could be Cappagh townland in Kenmare civil parish.

I will do some more searching but if you can verify the marriage date that would help.
