I am interested in learning more about the line of Bridget Mahoney,b: 1811 to parents Myles Mahoney b: 1785 and Margaret Connor b1785. Bridget married: Timothy Quirk 1831 in Keelgobbin,Kerry Co.  They had a daughter, Catherine in abt 1835 in County Kerry and migrated to Canada in 1843.  Can anyone verify and share any additional info?  Thank you.

I searched the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie and found a few records.

There was a August 31 1793 marriage record for a Miles Mahoney and Margaret Connor in Killarney.

I located the following baptismal records where the parents were Myles Mahoney and Margaret Connor

October 24 1792  Alexander Mahony    Tralee (prior to marriage)

April 27 1803 Florence Mahoney        Killarney

January 10 1806 Mary Mahoney        Killarney

December 11 1809 Margaret Mahony  Tralee

September 8 1811  Bridget Mahony    Tralee

So the question is whether these children are all for the same couple

I found a February 13 1831 marriage for a Timothy Quirk and Bridget Mahoney   RC parish Annascaul

There were three baptismal records for children of Timothy Quirk and Bridget Mahony all in Annascaul

    Thomas Quirk November 27 1831

    Mary Quirk April 3 1833

    Michael Quirk April 9 1837

I did not see a record for Catherine.

  • Hello Roger,

Thank you so much for your very productive searches into my family!  You have been most helpful and have pointed me in a great direction with www.irishgenealogy.ie

I will do this further investigation into the records and check with family resources to hopefully sort out some questions.  Again, I am most appreciative of your help!

    Best,
