I am looking for documentation for Bryan Bernard Callaghan. Information I have found so far suggests he was born in January of 1840 in County Cork. He married Catherine Graham who was born in 1840, also in County Cork. I do not know when they emigrated to America. Any information to direct me to documentation would be appreciated.

I have searched on two sites: Roots Ireland (subscription) and www.irishgenealogy.ie (free) and did not see a Bernard or Bryan Callaghan baptismal record in Co. Cork around 1840. Also did not find a Bernard/Bryan Callaghan marriage to a Graham. Do you know for a fact the marriage occurred in Ireland?
Have you located the couple in the US censuses?
Have you considered DNA testing?

Thank you for your response and time! No, I do not know that they were married in Ireland. In fact, I don't know much for certain. I have been going on information found in ancestry.com and am trying to verify it. I have had my own DNA tested but have been unsure of what to do with it (as you can tell, I am an amateur at this). Could not identify the couple in a census YET, but am still pursuing.
