Burke

Hi

I am trying to trace my Grandmothers family. She was Catherine or Kate Burke who was working as a Domestic servant in Holycross 1933. She was unmarried and had a son John in 1928 who was sent to an industrial School in 1933. At the age of 16 John was working for a Miss Maher a Farmer in 1944 in Holycross he was working and lodging there. I have absolutely no Information on this family apart from that she was a servant in different places and that she was in and out of the workhouse. John was too until he was put into Cappaquin then Ferryhouse unitl 1944 age 16. Her 2nd Child was Timothy born 1934 , he too was sent to cappaquin at age 3 then 7 years later she had another child Lawrence in 1941 and seemed to be in and out of the workhouse with him until 1945.There were big gaps between each child so were there more children?????  It is said she moved to Nothinghamshire and married either in ireland or england. Can anyone help me pinpoint the excat Catherine Burke. On the boys certs she is named Catherine/kate/katie and either Burke or Bourke. 

In The Workhouse Records.......She appears as a Servant in Gouldscross age 25yrs in 1930. In 1931 she is a Servant in Kylemakile age 26. In 1933 she is 28 and a Servant in Clonmacouge. In 1933 November John appears as Illegitmit age 4yrs from Templetoughy. However in his court records it says he was found wandering in Thurles on the 11 October 1933 . Court order was signed 1st November 1933.The records of the time Timmy was born in 1934 are destroyed so no Idea if she was there with him. In the Workhouse is 1941 I find  Lawrence age 2 weeks.with the spelling as Bourke. She appears again being discharged in 1943 age 36 and Laurence was discharged the same day age 18mths. It also states she is a Servant in Cashel in 1944. Can anyone help....Please
