On Sept 2nd, I leave the US to fly to Belfast to attend a conference until the 12th when I leave to fly back to the USA.  I will be doing research at PRONI for two of my Irish families:

One family is BYRNE who lived in County Cavan, Ireland.  Owen Byrne b 8/15/1822, County Cavan, Ireland and his family migrated to New York City in the US arriving 1 Nov 1852.  Owen was naturalized 18 April 1856 in Minnesota where he and his family had moved.  He was married twice: 1st I believe he married Anna Connelly on 9 Sept 1843 in Westland Row Parish Ireland.  It appears they did not have any children.

Owen then married Bridget Cosgrove between 1843 - 1846 in Ireland.  Bridget was born 15 Aug 1822 in County Cavan, Ireland and died 4 March 1912 in Kilkenny, LeSueur County, Minnesota USA.  They supposedly had nine children, several apparenly born in Ireland who did not immigrate to the United States with them.  It also appears that Bridget was married prior to marrying Owen in Ireland as there are children listed (4) with a surname of Cosgrove.

If anyone can supply me with research item names/areas to review while at PRONI it would help me, hopefully, find records on the BYRNES without having to loose time determining where and what I should be reviewing.  About 2015/2016 I attended this conference hosted by the Ulster Historical Foundation only that time I ended up taking all the tours I could so didn't do much researching.  This time it will be different.

I just responded to your Patrick Riley message and then saw this message on your Owen Byrne.

Co.Cavan is in the Republic of Ireland and PRONI will likely not have records for that county

I did search on the subscription site Roots Ireland and could not locate a marriage record for Owen Byrne to either a Connelly or a Cosgrove.

Westland Row parish is in Dublin and I went to their parish register and found a September 9 1843 marriage between a John Byrne and Anne Connelly. So did Owen also use John as a first name? This link should take you to the parish register entry.  https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633486?locale=en#page/27/mode/1up

Let us know if you have further questions.
