My GG Grandmother Bridget Campbell Reilly was born in Cavan but the 1841 census states her father Edward Campbell was born in Leitrim. I found an Edward Campbell in the 1821 census in Aughawillian, Carrigallen with a father Edward and mother Prudence. The age seemed about right to assume the possilbilty it could be him, I would imagine there are no records available to add to the census?
Also, Bridget Campbell Reilly's daughter Catherine b. 1873 married a Hugh Clarke from Carrigallen and they had three children in the early 1900's Mary, Annie and Edward between 1909 and 1912. They were all born in Carrigallen. I can't find any information on them either.

There is no way to know if the Edward Campbell record belongs to your Edward. I did not locate the 1821 census record you mentioned.

Thank you Roger for checking. I found that 1821 census on rootsireland. I just got a lead on another Campbell family from Carigallen from a 1841/1851 census substitute so will try to follow that family and see if it connects.
