I have a Patrick Cantwell and Mary Grogan who married in Ireland, Rahan or Ferbane.  I’m guessing they married around 1840 but can’t find any records.  I found births recorded for the below individuals in Ferbane parish but I am missing my gg grandfather John Henry.  Mary left Ireland with the children and settled in Wisconsin.  Also can’t find those immigration records.

Judith Cantwell, b. 2 Nov 1842, Mary Catherine Cantwell b. 6 Sep 1844, Patrick Cantwell b. 5 May 1848, Bridget Cantwell b. 28 Jul 1849.  Judith and Patrick were not names that I was familiar with in this family- wondering if there could have been two Patrick Cantwell and Mary Grogan families?  Seems unlikely but...

    My name is Geraldine Buckley Smith originally from Rahan and I have searched for Judith Cantwell with these parents but cannot find her.

    I found a Judith Cantwell whose parents were James Cantwell and Joanna Kelly from Rahan

    Cantwell is a very common name in the Parish of Rahan

    You have records for their childrens births all in Ferbane parish (registration district would be Birr)

    Would you mind attaching some of their birth records just so I can have a look at them to see if I can see any connection with Rahan.

    Also have you done your DNA and if so had any luck with connections

    Hello Geraldine- I’ve uploaded screenshots of what I found. I have done a DNA test but only connected with known relatives in the US. I am most interested in finding marriage record between Patrick Cantwell and Mary Grogan. And then the birth record for John H. Cantwell born around 1844. Thank you for your assistance. Kathryn

    I have searched the Ferbane (Gallen & Reynagh) marriage records starting at 1938 and I cannot see any marriage for Patrick and Mary.  I am now going to search through Rahan
