Would appreciate help tracking down my GGGG Grandfather.

Patrick “Crewe”, b ca 1806 d NZ 1865 aged 59 enlisted in the British Army 58th light foot in 1823. His papers show his home as Lowran” Tipperary. As he enlisted at Birr, we think his likely home was Lorrha and his family name Carew. He married Susannah Fitzpatrick of Urney, Cavan in 1843 on discharge/pension but Re-enlisted so he could take an assisted passage to Auckland NZ as a “fencible” in 1849, with full records of his passage and family thereafter.

Given the shortage of records in the area around Lorrha before 1829, any help would be appreciated. Likely locations in records are Kilfadda or Feigh in Aglishcloghane/Uskane.

Thx
