People who lived in the very small civil parish of Desert would have attended the RC parish of Clonakilty. Here is the 19th century parish register https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0033 If Clonakilty is your RC parish then use the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie (use Church Records Tab). That site has a searchable process to access Clonakilty records which is a lot more efficient then scrolling thru the parish register.
If you are looking for specific people, let us know names, dates etc. and will will try to assist.
There is also an RC parish called Desertseges or Bandon just to the north of Clonakilty parish.
