    Hi Joanne,

FOSTER - www.rootsireland.ie has the following:

Church Marriage Record 26th March 1861 of John Craig and Catherine Foster in Monkstown Parish Church. Both are member of the Church of Ireland and their addresses are Kingstown, now Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin. John Craig is described as a Carpenter and his father a Pensioner. James Craig is a Witness. Catherine Foster's father - James - is described as "Car Man". This could mean a Hackney car for passengers, or for conveying freight from the port.

The Witnesses to the Marriage are James Craig and James Foster.

No siblings found for Catherine Craig. The following issue found for James Foster and Sarah (one entry Sally) -  29th January 1833 - Sarah; 22nd March 1835 - James; 19th May 1839 - Patrick; 13th October 1844 - Charles Henry.

All are member of the Church of Ireland. There are a number of families named "Foster" who are described as Roman Catholic in Dun Laoghaire and Dublin city with similar names.

I did not find any record for the Witnesses James Craig or James Foster.

    Regards,

    McCoy
