Is there a Catholic cemetery in Mowgawnagh that contains those who died 150 years ago? My great great grandfather Thomas Hoban died after 1851 but before 1859, since his widow and children are found in the 1860 Census in Pennsylvania, Thank you.

Dear jwkerry:
Thank you for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board. The community based website Historic Graves has a number of graveyards all over Ireland on its site. The Old Moygownagh graveyard is one of them. https://historicgraves.com/graveyard/old-moygownagh/mo-moyo
In addition, there is a local historical society in Moygownagh and they may be of some assistance to you with your research. One of our volunteers is active with this group and I will forward this post to him for his reference. The website for the historical society is: https://moygownagh.ie/north-mayo-historical-society/
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Jane
