Does any one know if there is a CATHOLIC CHURCH still functioning in BALLYVAUGHAN.I'm looking for a bap record for my ancestor Patrick BARRETT b May 1819.Parents are Patrick BARRETT & Mary HOAVEY ( this name may not be spelt correctly).

There is a church in Ballyvaughan from 1867 and parish record from the early 1850s
This new church replaced the two previous (even 3 counting a Muchanish church) at Glenaragh and Gleninagh..
I have never heard of eitehr of the names in question.
Any chance it is the Ballyvaughan in South Tipperary

On his Bounty Immigrant paper it states Ballyvaughan County Clare , though ballyvaughan looks like Ballymaughan. Can you clrear something up for me , I always thought it was Drumcreehy parish but he was RC so it should it be the Parish of Glenaragh shouldn't it.
