  • Hi Mary,

Your John is a very illusive man, he was born in Ireland 1858, emigrated 1879, married Bridget around 1884 in I presume

Silver Bow, Montana, naturalised 1892, had a son in Montana 1893, turns up in New York 1900 as a saloon keeper, with

Bridget who was born Ireland 1861, he then dies in New York 1911.

Do you have a copy of his naturalisation papers?

Do you have his death cert?

I do have a copy of John Coleman's Naturalization Certificate, however SilverBow County Archives, Butte MT has no record of where he filed papers to apply for citizenship. Dated Oct. 12, 1892, Vol. C page 65, Dist. Ct., Butte, MT witnesses: Frank Call and John Cooley.

John Coleman's death certificate states that he was born in Ireland but lists no county/town/parish.

Thank you for any help you may offer me in this search.
