John Conlon [or Conlan] was born in Temple Patrick, Co. Westmeath in 1819. His parents were William and Mary Conlon. Religion: Catholic. Profession: Ploughman
He married Sarah Kilby in 4 April 1841 in Moyvore, Meath. The marriage was recorded in a Catholic register although Sarah was Protestant. They emigrated to Sydney, Australia as Bounty Immigrants. in August 1841 aboard the Runnymede. Most of my information comes from this immigration record.
Sarah Kilby was born in 1815 in Forgney, Co. Longford. Father: John Kilby. Mother: Sarah. Find My Past records her birth as Sarah Kibby. Profession: Cook.
I'd be grateful for any further information about John and Sarah. I haven't been able to find a record of John's birth anywhere.

Eileen, Huge thanks for your reply to my query regarding Conlon and Kilby. It is wonderful to have John and Sarah's marriage entry at last. I can't think why I couldn't find it. Also for the information about the Kilby families in Forgney. They are all from the same area so a very likely link with Sarah. I'll follow thenm up where I can. Many thanks again. I really appreciate your time. CMBR [Carolyne. From sunny Sydney, Australia].
