Robert King, Jr. and Tabitha Dolby were married somewhere around 1770. Robert's birthday was given as 1750. Robert and Tabitha along with family, Robert King, Sr., his mother and two Uncles left for North America. It is also believed some of her family came to America as well. On the journey to America they had a son, Peter, which they named because he was born on the water. It is believed they landed near Baltimore, Maryland or somewhere on Chesapeake Bay. They traveled to North Carolina, some family stayed there, but they then traveled on to South Carolina. They settled in Belton near Neals Creek. The area is now called Anderson County. Belton is still a town. To them were born 23 children. I have names of the children. A son, Robert King III (Rev. Bobby King), was born January 1, 1791. Who married Fannie Holland. Bobby and Fannie had 12 children. My husband is also named Robert King, we have only recently learned of this information and would like to find all the connections.

Hello!
My ggggrandfather was Benjamin King. He moved to Georgia from Abbeville South Carolina. I have reason to believe his grandfather may have been Robert King. I cannot find all of the children of Robert. Maybe Benjamin was the grandson on Roberts brother? Not sure.... but any info you have on Robert, I would love to have so as to complete my King family history.
Thanks,Travis King
