Hi,
I am looking for further information about Patrick Cosgrove. According to a biography published in 1908, Patrick was born 17 Mar 1811 om County Roscommon. And was raised on a farm. He married Annie Kattican(according to the marriage certificate, her last name was Ratigan) born 22 Oct 1808. They had a son, Redmond, who was born 10 Nov 1837. Patrick came to the US in April 1840. I am hoping to find Patrick's parents.

I did some searching on the subscription site Roots Ireland and the only record I could find was a transcription of the 1833 marriage record which I assume you have already. I could not find a birth record for Patrick in the Strokestown/Elphin area nor did I find a baptismal record for Redmond or any other children. Likely parish records are not available for those events.Strokestown records start in 1830.Elphin records go back to 1808.
