My known Crowley family line starts with 2nd great grandfather Bartholomew Crowley born c 1840 who married (Mary) Ellen Forde 29 Nov 1861 Inniscarra Parish register. I believe that Bartholomew Crowleys father may have been Jeremiah. I can find a Jeremiah Crowley living by the Dripsey Paper Mill in Griffiths. His mother may have been Julia (Coleman?)
My great grandfather James Bartholomew Crowley was baptized Mar 1863, Inniscarra, he later married Margaret Cronin, who was baptised April 1863 Aghinagh RC Parish, Aghabulloge. They were married in 1889 in Pawcatuck, Stonington, Connecticut.
James B had three sisters and one brother with Civil registrations for births after 1865:
Mary born 11 Sept 1865 civil registration address is "Ahareenah" (Agharinagh), Inniscarra. Baptism 17 Sept 1865 address Hallissy Cross, Inniscarra witnesses Patrick Callaghan and Mary Leary, ***She married Denis Cronin, first cousin to Margaret Cronin above**
Catherine born 13 April 1868 civil address Ahareenah, Inniscarra. Baptism 26 Apr 1868 address Agharinagh, Inniscarra parish witnesses Denis Ford and Hannah Callahan (rootsire)
Ann born 22 May 1870 civil address Clonmoyle. Baptism 26 May 1870 Clonmoyle, Coachford witnesses John Ford and Hannah Radly (rootsire)
Jeremiah born 31 Aug 1872 civil address Ahareenah, Inniscarra. Baptism 8 Sept 1872 Hallissys Cross, Inniscarra. Witnesses Jeremiah Forde and Honora Lenihan (rootsire)
All of the children emmigrated 1882 (James, Mary,Ann, Catherine) -1892 (Jeremiah) and lived in the Pawcatuck, Stonington, Conn area.
Several members of the Cronin family emmigrated at this time as well. My great grandmother Margaret Cronin and her sisters Hanora (Nora), Ellen and Mary were born in Derryroe,Kilberrihert, Aghinagh RC parish in Aghabullogue.
I am visiting the area March 2020 and would like to explore graveyards in the Inniscarra area. I have not found the deaths for Bartholowmew and Ellen Crowley. Bartholomew is frequently mispelled and Ellen is too common. Any help locating them would be greatly appreciated, I believe they remained in Ireland (most likely in Inniscarra parish area) and passed 1882-1892 based on the dates of their childrens departure.
So far, I plan on trying graveyards in Dripsey-Coachford-Macroom area : Ballincollig, Magourney, and possibly Mathey and St Senan. I have already looked in the graveyard in Agharinagh by the Dripsey Ambush site. (another Cronin- connected relative was John Lyons of the Dripsey Ambush). Any specific cemeteries that you would recommend?
Thank you in advance!

Dear Kellslax:
If you are not familiar with the Historic Graves website, it is worth a look.
I have found a Mary Crowley headstone listed in Knockavilla graveyard in nearby Crossbarry, Cork. Here is the link: https://historicgraves.com/knockavilla/co-knvl-0092/grave
I have made some inquiries and I will let you know on this thread if I hear back from anyone. In the meantime, please contact me at: jhalloranryan@irelandxo.com and I will see what I can do further for you.
All the best,
Jane
