Jim:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The subscription site Roots Ireland has 107 Crowley baptismal records for Castlelyons RC parish from 1791-the early 1900s. If you can provide names and likely years of birth, we can check for records.

Thanks for the response, sorry for the delay in getting back. Anyway thanks for your offer. Here on the names
John Crowley born about 1811 came to Massacusetts about 1835. He is my 2nd ggrandfather
Bridget Crowley, guess a sister(she is witness at the baptism of John's oldest son in Massacusetts and John named one of his daughters Bridget) probably born around 1811 as well.
John's wife is Mary Wallace doubt she was born in Castlelyons but my grandmother who knew this grandmother thought she came to Massacusetts with other members of the Crowley family before marrying John in Salem Massacusetts.
John's father was Daniel Crowley guess he was born in the 1780s his wife was Mary.
Based on a DNA connection there is a WIlliam Crowley who is maybe a brother to Daniel Crowley his daughter came much later to Massacusetts
Thanks again

Jim:
The subscription site Roots Ireland did not have any John or Bridget Crowley baptismal records in Castlelyons around 1811. The closest John record was in 1812 but father William. Here is a link to the parish register https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0028 The register is fairly readable and the records are in English.

Thanks for ur response. Doubt this is my 2nd ggrandfather John Crowley as a baptism in 1812 would have been as much as a year or more after his birth. More importantly the death parish record in Illinois gives his father as Daniel rather than William. He had two sons the oldest he named Daniel the other James. Based on tying a known DNA ancestor from Castlelyon a Daniel Crowley appears at the right time as a witness/informant in a Parish record.
Again Thanks for your efforts Jim WebsterWeb0513

Sorry I should have been more explicit in my acknowledgement of ur research, a fellow researcher who is working on the same Crowleys, based on a DNA match, has a Joanna Crowley born 1818 with William Crowley and Mary Ryan Castlelyon as the parents no doubt the same as ur report therefore a relative. Guessing William is a brother to my Daniel.
