Hello. I’m Lucas Rush from Argentina. I’ll go to Ireland in June 7th for a week. I’ll be the first Argentirish in my family to go back to visit Ireland. And I’m looking for my root’s town.
My girlfriend is helping me to find my Irish roots, she gave me your contact and your text about Annagh.
My first suspension was Athlone I was looking the birth records and I couldn’t find my family there.
My uncle told my John Joseph Rush was my great great grandfather married with Allen (he doesn’t remember her first name) and then he told me probably in Longford. But then a guy, Philip Tuner, texted my girlfriend about Annagh close to Cavan.
But I couldn’t find any records in Annagh. Also Philip texted he about 40 acres of bog and 20 acres of land in Annagh (place of a Rush family belonged) is a big clue.
My dad told me, when I was a child: “the last name Rush in Gaelic is a kind of a bog’s plant, not rush like hurry, and he told our family was living in a bog area. So this clue is huge.Jhon Joseph Rush and Allen (my great great grandparents) had some children and went to Argentina with them. And my great grandfather, Jhon Rush, was the first Argentirish born in Argentina.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude in advance for any insight that you’ may be able to give me or any light that you can shine on my quest to find out about my family in Ireland.
