Daniel would have been absent at the time of his father's Andrew death in 1877 but posibly returned after this to Eden .
There is one death registration for a Daniel Mulholland aged 54, a bachelor farmer, in March 1901 in ? Elencott(e) or Edencott(e), Eden , in the District of Belllaghy in the Union of Magherafelt , Co Lononderry .
Witnessed by James O'Neil of Ballymacpeake .
Are there any futher detail on this Daniel Mulholland please ?
Kindest regards ,

Sarah,
This might be your family in Eden in 1901:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Londonderry/Claudy/Eden/1542378/
and in 1911:

Andrew’s son Smiley married Mary Kelso in 1883. So he looks to be a brother to the Daniel you are interested in:

The Mulholland family was Church of Ireland. Sadly that parishes early records (Tamlaght O’Crilly) were destroyed in the 1922 fire in Dublin. Tracing their early history will be challenging.

Looking at the Valuation Revision records for Eden on the PRONI website, then in the period 1899-1910, there were 2 Daniel Mulhollands listed in Eden. One had the agnomen (John) and he is the one who looks to have died in 1901. He had land on plot 11 and a house and more land on plot 12. After his death he was replaced by Nancy Mulholland who herself looks to have died later in 1901, then by Mary Ann Burt and then another Daniel in 1908. Daniel (John) acquired his land in plot 12 in 1884 replacing a John who I’d guess was his father.
Plot 12 also contained Daniel Mulholland senior who acquired his land in 1877. Daniel, senior was replaced by Hugh in 1908.
Some probate abstracts:
Administration of the estate of John Mulholland late of Eden County Londonderry Farmer who died 30 December 1875 granted at Londonderry to Daniel Mulholland Farmer.
The above probate grant was made on 10th Mar 1903. So when John died, Daniel (John) failed to have his estate administered, and it was only after Daniel (John)’s own death in 1901 that this was picked up. The later Daniel, son of Andrew, must be the person who obtained probate in 1903.
Administration of the estate of Nancy Mulholland late of Eden County Londonderry Widow who died 13 September 1901 granted at Londonderry to Daniel Mulholland Farmer.
The above Nancy was a widow aged 82. Informant was Henry Mulholland (whose relationship to her is not given).
Probate of the Will of Smylie Mulholland late of Eden, Co. Londonderry, farmer, who died 22 February 1918 granted at Londonderry to William Stewart, Ballymacpeake, farmer. Effects: £340 0s 0d.
Mulholland Daniel of Eden Portglenone county Londonderry farmer died 1 October 1943 Probate Belfast 23 April to Henry Mulholland farmer. Effects £264 6s. 6d.
The Will of Andrew Mulholland late of Eden County Londonderry Farmer deceased who died 19 January 1877 at same place was proved at Londonderry by the oaths of Henry York of Eden and William Stewart of Ballymackpeake both in said County Farmers the Executors.
The above will is on-line on the PRONI wills site. It mentions his wife Martha, sons Smiley 7 James (who were to inherit the farm), daughter Margaret and son James. Plus 4 sons abroad viz Adam, Daniel, John & Frederick.
