Is the Mayo Echo still in business? I tried that email and it bounced, then looked at their website found another email, tried that, it bounced.

Rang the phone number and it did not connect.

It appears that the Mayo Echo is no longer in existence. The Mayo News in Westport and the Western People in Ballina appear to be operating.

Hi, You may have been successful before now.
Yes there are grandchildren of Mr Roaches alive and well in Balla village.
There was a son Dan and he had a son Dan who has a business in the village.
Lovely people and very involved in the community.
