I am looking for the parents of Mary Dawes who was married on 10 Feb 1835 in Kilteevan to Thomas Noon. Her parents may be Bartholemew Dawes and Ann Gunn. Thomas and Mary came to Pennsylvania between 1839-1844. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Bill:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I was unable to locate the marriage record for Mary Dawes and Thomas Noon on Roots Ireland. What was the religious denomination for the couple?
I also looked at the Tithe records and the Griffiths Valuation records for Co. Roscommon and did not see any Dawes records.

Hi Bill
"Dawes" could be a transcription error (see the parish register record). It may have been a misread of Davis? "Dawes" was also recorded as O'Dea / Day / Goodwin. Unfortunately, I don't see any evidence of any of those variants in the 1833 Tithe Records for Kilteevan.
No Tithe results for Noon(e) either, but parish records show both Noon and Daws present, which means they were living in a co-operative with other relatives). So... next best thing is to look for them as godparents / witnesses (and then check out these relatives, who may have more records!)
I get the feeling you should consider the area around Aghmagree as a starting point for your research.
In Kilteevan RC records, a Thomas Noon stood as godparent for baptisms by Daniel Noon & Joan Cuncannon 1829; James Mills & Ann McDermott 1830; John Reilly & Catherine Noon 1835 (related to the Casey family). The Caseys seem strongly connected to the Daws family...
In Kilteevan RC records, a Mary Daws stood as godparent for baptisms by Michael Cohern (Coghran) & Brigid Cacy (Casey) 1830; Patrick Fizgerald & Brigid Fox 1831.
Michael Coghran & Brigid Casey also invite Margaret & Jane Daws and Michael Davies to godparent (also Donlan / Kilmartin / Padian / Mcmanus / Burke / Kedian)
Note the marriage witnesses for Noon + Dawes were Matthew McDonnell & Thomas Coghran* (Cockrane)
Thomas Coghran married Mary Tucker in Kilteevan Jan 1830. They lived in a townland called "Aughnadrish" aka Aghmagree. It llooks like Michael Coghran & Brigid Casey also lived there. (See Croghan in Griffith's Valuation).
Hope these leads help you find your way home!

Thanks so much for the leads. They were both Roman Catholic. I will let you know if they pan out. Thanks again!
