Hi,
Could someone please decipher the information on line 7 of the attached document, for Mary Anne Hughes? I cannot make out much except Thomas (Hughes) and Bridget (McDonnald) I believe, none of the locations, except I think it is county Monaghan. If I knew of the locations I could probably figure it out. Thanks for any assistance.

John,
I’d say the location is Killyvane. (A sister Catherine was born there 9.8.1868 to the same parents ie Thomas Hughes and Brigid McDonald). Thomas Michael Hughes is listed in Killyvane in Griffiths Valuation in 1866, on plot 4, a 10 acre farm.

2 Hughes farms there in the 1901 census:

Brigid Hughes died at Killyvane 22.1.1892 aged 65, a widow. Her son Owen, also of Killyvane, was the informant.
Thomas Hughes died 9.1.1880 aged 64.
