I am hoping someone can help me find Anne Doorigan’s father who may have met an unfortunate end resulting in her being orphaned in India Circa 1800’s. She married Donald McDonald in 1828 who were both killed in a mutiny leaving three sons of which one which is my Great Great Grandfather.
I have not been able to trace either lineage but am eternally hopeful that the Doorigan name being a rarer Surname may uncover a lead.

Thank you for that information.
Anne married underage (so precise age not known) in 1828 with no parents recorded. Witnesses for both bride and groom were involved in looking after orphanages.
We can only presume her father was in the services prior to that time, fathered Anne and was killed in action.
I am hoping that through information handed down or recorded within the family will reveal who left for India and never returned.
A long shot I know!
