We will need some additional info on your Duignan and McManus families. The 1901 census for Kilronan parish had 14 Duignan households and 22 McManus households.

James Duignan b 23/7/1843, Father was james and Mother was Elizabeth McManus. Sponsors were John and Rose McManus.

I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland and found seven siblings to James---Catherine 1835 Patrick 1837 John 1839 Mary 1841 Thomas 1846 Patrick 1848 Peter 1850

I did not find a marriage record for his parents.

I do not see a James Duignan/Degnan entry in the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Kilronan civil parish. Maybe he was not leasing land.

Did the 1843 James Duignan marry in Ireland and what was his wife's name?

Thanks Roger, I believe that James Dignan( Duignan?) married Bridgid Peyton from Tibohine in Fairymount Church in 1871 but am unsure if this James Dignan and James Duignan are the same person. james Dignan is listed as being from Lisarrumnail (?Lisdrumneil, I bid)

Different James Duignan/Dignan Lisdrumneil is also in Tibohine civil parish not Kilronan.

The James Duignan I am tracking is the person who married Brigid Peyton from Tibohine. Need to start again from there. Regards Mike
