I searched for all Dwan civil birth records from 1896-1900 and there were no Freda Dwan records. I then looked at the Urlingford births and there were no female births with a father James. You mentioned Co. Tipperary and I did locate this record in Clonmel for a Kathleen Dwan.

Thank you.  I will try and upload the certs that I have tomorrow. I have only just discovered she was born in urlingford from the 1921 census. My dad says she had a family bible that had been lost over time. They only remember thurles, and Tipperary they said they went to a farm as children . I only have the name James Dwan as her father on her first marriage cert apparently he was a sailor. She passed in sept 1966 it says aged 65 which would put her birth year as 1901, in 1919 she says she is 20 so that would put her birth year as  1899. On 21 census she has date of birth as 1898 she was 22yrs and 10mths. And on 1939 England and Wales register has 10 sept 1881, so I have a lot of conflicting dates and info for Freda, such a brick wall for me. The only other info that was passed to me was there was aunty molly I have a photo showing them together and there seems to be a big age gap for sisters which is why I wondered if her mother had remarried and that's why on Freda's 2 marriage cert John boland is down as her father, but with out a mothers name I'm going round in circles 

Hello all. Today i came across a Winifried Dwan its the only one i have ever found, i am trying not to get excited as i have been stuck on this one for so long !!

She is in the 1901 census  Living with her father Micheal 1846, Brother James 1882, Sister Mary 1884. Living at Clashaad lower Offaly (kings) Could this be who i have been searching for???

I have her death cert issued in Salford Mcr her age is 66 which would be birth year 1901 ??

I have her 2nd wedding cert Salford 1942 aged 41 which would be 1901 father named as john Boland??

I have her 1st wedding cert Salford 1919 aged 20 which would be 1899 father named as James Dwan?? Sailor

In 1939 on street register i have aged 58 10th sept 1881

1921 census i have her as aged 22years 1898 from kilkenny

So many different dates  and fathers

Does anybody think this is her?? could the James Dwan named on her first marriage cert be her brother?? I did think maybe her mother had remarried and thats where Boland on 2nd wedding cert came from, but if this is her , her mother passed as 1901 census says her father is widowed. Im so frustrated with this. Any help or insight will be gratefully received
