Have been trying to reach this facility by telephone because someone told me they are closed.  Does anyone know if it is a temporary closure or something more than that so I would not be able to go there August 8th?

Thanks for your help!

  • Thank you, Eileen!  I hope they are just sprucing up the facility in preparation for visitors.  SMILE!

  • It is disappointing that it is closed at present but if there are any family connections that you wish to check out then consider posting these and maybe you can find the information you are looking for, there are so many volunteers who assist with queries. Enjoy the trip and fill in a meet and greet form to get the most out of the visit

  • Thank you, Eileen!  We are meeting with a member in Waterford County because we THINK we miraculously (with the help of some Ireland based leprechauns) found our POWER/S family from Kilrossanty!

Might also request a meet in County Meath for my GORRY/Monaghan connection (found their townland)!

And County Clare was just a shot in the dark for my Thomas O'Dea/ Catherine Houlihan connection.  Have their parents names from their 1890s death certificates, but do not have their county of origin information (or marriage).

There are so many brick walls in my g-g-grands!  Have been chasing them since 1982 (before computers).........

Our clockwise tour of Ireland begins July 31 if Aer Lingus settles the work dispute with the pilots.

Hope you are enjoying the summer!
