I am researching my Irish Ancestry on Ancestry. Edward Irwin married Mary McKeown in 1846 in Derry and moved to Cootehill where they had a son, Edward Irwin my Great Grand father.

Little Edward aged 3 went to Warrington, via Liverpool with his Aunty Anne aged 28. 

He married Emma Shillitoe in Yorkshire and they had yet another Edward, my Grand-Father who we fondly call Pop.

Pop migrated to NZ after serving in the Boer War. He became an ANZAC at Gallipoli, fighting with the Australian and NZ Army Corps in 1915.
