Looking for Elizabeth and Catherine Cahill possibly born in County Cork: Watergrasshill/Rathcormac area. Catherine's birth date 1824. She married a John Broderick and emigrated to Ontario, Canada. She died in 1853. I believe Elizabeth Cahill became Elizabeth Cuffe. Don't know birthdate.
Catherine and John Broderick married in Ireland and had two sons Cornelius (b. 1841 or 1843) and Thomas (b 1846-1848?) I have no record of that.
Another possibility would be set of parents named:Thomas and Eliza Scanlin both born about 1795.
Thanks for any help you might provide!

Jennye:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The RC baptismal records for Watergrasshill RC parish start in 1834 and can be found on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie Here is a link to the parish register from 1834-1880 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0099 Marriage records are not available for the 19th century. In any event, I searched for the baptismal records for the two Broderick sons in your note and was not able to find a record.
I would add a story regarding Catherine and John to our XO Chronicles site and possibly someone will recognize a connection. https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
Have you considered DNA testing?

My great grandfather was also a John Broderick (John Arthur Broderick). He was was born in Essex (Windsor) Ontario. It turns out his parents were Patrick Joseph Broderick and Margaret. But I think when they first got to Windsor, they lived in Sandwich. I suspect they were working on the docks. But I found a bunch of Broderick families living all next door to each other. Do you think your Brodericks would have been in Windsor (Detroit area) or more so in Sandwich?
