Is the address that you have in Dublin? There are offices in both Dublin and Roscommon however, it may be best to contact Roscommon as the biggest collection of records are there.

Hi Emma,

Thanks for that I will certainly give it a shot!  Truth is the only reference we have to Dominic Michael is his merchant navy CRS10 which states "place of birth Eire, 1919 ".  However, during WW2 he got into difficulties in Italy (some sort of military court) and appealed to the Irish Government for support which was forcoming..  So there must be prof somewhere!
