Looking for any information on Felix (sic) McCabe b. ca 1778 who married Margaret Smith (Smythe) b. ca 1780 in Co. Cavan.  They had children: Edward, Margaret, Patrick, Henry, Eleanor, Charles and Ann all born in Co Cavan.

The family immigrated to Ontario Canada in different years starting around 1829.  Their son, Patrick immigrated in 1847 with his wife to be, Jane Cullivan whom he married in 1848 in Ontario, Canada. Patrick's MR stated his parents were from Co. Cavan.

Any information at all will help me to find my 5th Ggps.  A task I have been working at for over 40 years with no luck to date.

  • I have an ancestor Felix; his name is sometimes found as Phelim and Philip. I found the following Philip McCabe/Margaret Smith marriage on RootsIreland, but the date might be too late for your ancestors.
