Hi, Im hoping someone can help me
My family come from Clogheen. in 1926 my great grandfather committed suiside due to his ongoing health decline with TB. I got his Coroners inquest. I imagine that seeing that he took his own life that he wouldnt be buried in consecrated grounds. Does anyone know where records of burial or where in Burncourt there is a Cillin located. It seems that I am unable to find Great grandma's grave either she died in 1932. The rest of my family are buried in Shanrahan cemetery and I have visted there to see them.
Some of the children of great grandads moved to England after his suicide (his daughter had found him) but grandma stayed in Burncourt

It's not necessarily true that Michael was not buried with his family. Perhaps check with the cemetery office--he may be buried there but not have a headstone or not have his name on the family headstone (if buried with them).

I looked at Michael's death record and it noted that he was suffering from temporary insanity, so he would have been considered ill. He would not have been denied burial in a church cemetery for being ill. On another note, I don't think Cillins were in use in the 1900s.
