Hello!!!! Searching for my Fleming ancestors with very little info.
My GreatGranfather was William Fleming, born in England (circa 1873), apparently to irish parents. THOMAS FLEMING & MARGARET BARRETT. He emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I live.
He married Maríana Clavin Martin (1881-1923) born and dead in Argentina.
Thanks!!!!
Silvia

Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched on the 1881 English Census but was unable to find a William Fleming around 8 years old with parents Thomas and Margaret. I searched also on Ancestry.com for an English marriage record for his parents with no success. I also searched for an Irish marriage record on the subscription site Roots Ireland and also www.irishgenealogy.ie for civil marriages between 1864-1873. No record on all searches.
Fleming and Barrett are fairly common surnames in Ireland but you can't pinpoint one county where they may have originated.
Let me know if you have other information.

Hi Roger!!!!
Many thanks for your answer. The only info I found up to now, is my Great Grand Parents Marriage Record. The Parish Secretary sent me a photo, so it's not easy to read. But it says that William Fleming, born in England was the son of Thomas Fleming, born in England, living in USA (1899), and Margaret Barrett, born in Ireland, living in England.
Still don't loose hope of finding more info, hahaha.
Regards,
Silvia
