I am trying to find the birth dates and parents for Edmond Flynn and Johann Kearney, and Johanna's death. They were married 27th April 1868 in Cashel. They were Catholic. They lived at Railstown, Tullamain. They had the following children all baptised in Cashel (as per Catholic Church baptisimal records). Mary Flynn (1870-1940), Patrick Flynn (1872-1950), Catherin Flynn (1874-?), Margaret Flynn (1876-1958), Thomas Flynn (1879-1963), Edmund Flynn (1882-?), Michael Flynn (1883-1972), Hannah Angela Flynn (1888-1963). All children except Patrick emigrated to Australia in the early 1900's. I have found Edmond and some of the children listed in the 1901 and/or 1911 censuses. However I can't find Johanna, so I presume she died before 1901, as family stories say the children left after her death. She is believed to be decsended from a wealthy (?), highly respected family (Kearney) which includes Blessed Father John Kearney who was martered for practicing Catholicism during 1600's.

log onto www.rootsireland.ie and put in your information about Johanna and gradually refine it to co. tipperary. there are only a few records which match the death timeframe. 1895 = - 8 years. One of these may be your ancestor.

Thank you Anne,I did as you suggested but of the three results one was a 12 day old child and the other two were spinsters. I went back after this and changed the search name to Flynn (not Kearney) and I believe I found her 1894 aged 50 farmer's wife from Tullamain. You don't know how many times I have searched for her even on the RootsIreland site without success.
