Chris:
Hello again!
There are only three RC parishes in Co. Roscommon that have records back to 1800 and three more start before 1820. From looking at the subscription site Roots Ireland, it appears your family was from an area where the RC records started later. I don't see any baptismal records for james and John and Bridget Mullen or a marriage record for James and Bridget Fallon or John and Bridget Mullen. Garrity or the more common spelling Geraghty was a surname that was all over the county so it is difficult to pinpoint even an area to search. You mention Whicheuaugh in you message. There are only eight townlands in Roscommon which start witha "W" and none of them are close in spelling to Whicheuaugh. Did you find that entry on a family document?

Thank you again Roger! It seems like you spent most of your Sunday helping me! Thank you for your help on this. Another family member supplied that information, I will have to ask him where he got that name. You are a Blessing! Chris

Chris:
Many surnames were "adjusted" when an immigrant came to his/her new country.
