My 3 x great grandfather George Evans born 1803 was the son a Capt John Bede Evans and Martha Noble.
George travelled from home at Lonford to Dublin and was arrested for attending a political rally in 1823 and transported to Australia.
Any information on the Evans family would be truly appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,
Attached in relation to the conviction of George Evans in1823. There are a number of families named "Evans" in County Longfordf, but appear to be Roman Catholic.
An Anne Marshall Evans died in 1818 who was the wife of a Captain Evans.Any connection here?
George was granted a certificate of Freedom in 1830.
