GORMAN research. Earliest Irish ancester, Patrick Gorman, emigrated on the Medora from Liverpool June 1834 after marrying Eliza Sanders/Saunders in April 1834. They settled in New South Wales, Australia. Patrick sponsored his brother, John and in September 1855, John Gorman, his wife, Julia and children (Maria, Anne and Bridget) emigrated on the Bee from Liverpool, arriving New South Wales, Australia in January 1856.  John is listed as coming from Ballynakill, Co Galway. Seeking information on family of Patrick and John prior to emigrating. Parents of Patrick and John (as on John's shipping record) are James & Mary, both deceased.  Patrick and Eliza settled at Dapto,New South Wales, and had 4 children. John may have settled in the Hunter Valley region. Patrick died 11/1/1879 and is buried at West Dapto Catholic Cemetery. His wife, Eliza appeared in 1841 Census, but does not appear since and date and whereabouts of death unknown. Can someone please help in establishing connections in Ballynakill, Co Galway?
