It would be helpful if you provided names and approximate ages of your Groom ancestors from Lusmagh parish. I did check the 1853 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for the parish and there were no Groom records.

Hello,
In 1821 Census in Irelnd there is a MaryAnne Groome aged 1 year old with, who must be Grandparents in County Offaly, known then as Kings County.

First, thank you very much for your response. I am looking specifically for information about Edward Grooms and Catherine Donellan Grooms married April 1871 in Lusmagh, County Offaly, and their children. In particular, Theresa and Elizabeth (twins) born October 29th, 1876.

A son Edward was born in 1872, his Mother was catherine MULHARE father was Edward and the spelling was Grume.
