Hiya
I've been delving into Family History and trying to find any connection between the Haddican (sometimes Adikan on the UK census) and the Gleeson families. The Gleeson name has dried up for me so if anyone has any information?
James Gleeson was listed as a master tailor in Derbyshire in 1861 but on the earliest census was listed as a Hawker so quite a change unless he was a tailor in Taum/Ballyhaunis area. He married Bridget Haddican daughter of Edward/Edmund Haddican born around 1796 in Bekan, probably Taum. I'm not sure if they married in England. I can find an Edward Haddican with a daughter Bridget aged 17 in Bradford.

Her father as Edward; his, Henry.
James’s occupation was “licensed traveler in cloth.”

Thank you so much to Patricia and Eileen for helping to fill some gaps in my tree. I'd always assumed that James had come to England with his brother Patrick alone so great to find another link with Henry. That would be my 3 x grandfather.
Thank you again.
