I recently married into the O'Fallon name and am helping out my husband with his heritage.
His brother has some heritage history, but I am interested in further information. We'd like to visit the motherland soon and want to visit some places or maybe even people that could be related!
From the top of the tree, the furthest back, which is most vague is the following:
Julia Fallon (No further information)
Down to Malachey Fallon, ABT 1838 Ireland to 2/28/1909 in Leasburg, Missouri, USA
Malachey Fallon is connected to Mary M. Coffey, May 16, 1840 Ireland to January 12, 1931 in Leasburg, Missouri, USA. Mary Coffey is connected to a Bridget Coffey, 1806- Ireland to 1880 probable Leasburg, Missouri, USA.
From Malachey down to:
Martin C. O'Fallon and John Joseph O'Fallon. Both Born in Leasburg, Missouri, USA.
From there it's pretty well established on our end. Trying to go further back!

In the mid-19th century, the surname Fallon was mainly found in Co. Roscommon and Co. Galway but also in good numbers in Co. Westmeath, Co.Mayo, Co. Sligo and Co.Leitrim.
I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and found one Malachy Fallon baptismal record in 1835 in Cappataggle RC parish in Co. Galway. There are a good number of RC parishes that do not have records back to the 1830s so it is possible that a baptismal record does not exist for your Malachy. Do you have his 1909 Missouri death record and does it show his parents names?
I also searched for Mary Coffey records from 1835-1845 with mother's name Bridget and there were 23 possible records. Do you know her father's name?

I've learned since my original post that Malachey Fallon added an O' once he came to the states. He also met Mary Coffee when he imigrated.
I have not been able to locate a death certificate with parents names, but his mother should be Julia Fallon.

So the record above is for another Malachy. Likely a baptismal record for your Malachy is not available.
