I think that your Mary Delia is the child baptized as Mary on December 29 1878 in Ballinlough church which means she was born a few days earlier. The parents reported the birth civilly about six months late and to avoid a fine that changed her birth date to June 1879.
Thomas and Mary were married in 1872. See second record at the link. The names of the fathers of the bride and groom are shown on the record.
