Hi!
I am trying to extend my tree to include the parents of my gggrandfather Peter "Frandy" Clarke.  He was born abt 1841 and died in 1888.  He lived in Relaghan/Ralaghan, Shercock, Co. Cavan.  Any info greatly appreciated!

I will send a followup. Ireland is currently dealing with a blizzard and a cold snap.

Hi, I have been having laptop problems over the past while, which has cortailed my access.  I live close to Relaghan but not from the area.  Now Clarke was once the most common name in Relaghan, sadly they are no Clarkes living here any more though there is a house still owned by a Clarke family.  I looked up the death cert for Peter in 1888 dated 21 Feb, on irishgenealogy.ie, is that the same man...aged 66, his widow Bridget was present at his death.  I have done extensive research on the 'Crock' or 'Cnoc' Clarkes, who were neighbours.  I am guessing that 'Frandy' might be a combination of Francis Andrew and the 'Crock'  Clarkes did have some Andrews and Franks in their names.  Because I might have to discuss living people, I think the best way to progress this is for you to email me direct at ocallaghan.carmel@gmail.com
