My Great-grandmother was Mary McHugo. also spelled McHugot.
Born in 1846 in Galway.
She married George Kelly on June 23 1874 in Liverpool.
I cannot go back any further as I dont know what parish in Galway she was in.

There is a Mary McHugo in Galway in 1901 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Galway/Galway_Urban/Mi… However a more common name in Galway would be McHugh
