Siobhan,
Attached marriage record of Emma Banger to John Morton in 1867. (You probably have this already, but someone may identify the Witnesses)
I have checked for a marriage of James Banger with negative result. He is described as a farmer.
I will check for any land record which may give a clue as to his residence. www.findmypast.ie has not shown any record.
The family appear to be non catholic, so you will need to have the Church of Ireland records checked.

McCoy

Hello
thanks so much for all the investigating.
I hadnt noticed about the church, Im thinking then maybe he came from England? Hence why we are struggling to find a birth record for Emma or marriage detail for him?
Emmas husband John Morton and family were all raised as Catholics so its a bit unusual isnt it?
Anything else you did up i would be grateful for.
Regards
Siobhan
