James arrived in NZ after about eight years in the goldfields at Bendigo. Research over the years has failed. There is no details of his origin on either his marriage or death certificate .
Interested In parish records in Dublin although have no idea where to start.
On arrival in New Zealand he married Mary Callanan who had emigrated from Galway.

Hello Crawford, you do not specify a year or a range of years to search, also religion if know assists as we rely on church records pre 1864, you can see some Cutler Dublin records here under church and Dublin, only 3 counties covered so not national. https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/
