Trying to find birth date/details for my great great grandfather who died 23 November 1842 at 6 Ellis Quay, Dublin aged 55 years. Details from Glasnevin where he is buried in the family plot (Garden Section). This would indicate that his birth year would be around 1787. He married Margaret Ross 1 November 1819 whose mother Eleanor lived at 6 Ellis Quay from which the business E Ross and subsequently Ross & Co from 8 - 11 Ellis Quay traded. His wife died 1861.
The Dublin Almanac of 1791 has James Murphy cabinet maker, upholsterer and auctioneer at 2 Ellis Quay. This could be his father as the business was involved in the manufacture of Campaign Furniture.
Any assistance would be appreciated in trying to go backwards.

Ellis Quay is in the civil parish of St Paul's.
Try adding his details to our ancestor's roll-call tagging his profile to both Glasnevin and St Paul's.
