Looking for traces of this family, found living in College Green during the 1911 census.  James O'Connor, head of the house but is not on the form so could have been in prison!  Margaret wife, children living - Michael c 1896, Peter c 1897, Margaret c 1900, James c 1900, Kathleen c 1903 and Mary c 1909   James, the head was a tram conductor in 1901

Found one baptism record for Anne Josephine O'Connor bapt St Mary's Pro  Jan 1895.  She appears to have died by 1911 as the mother indicates she had nine chldren with only six still living!  Can't find evidence of birth/baptisms of any of the other children!

  • Hi sir try seaching on these links you mite get luckly.

The National Archives of Irelandhttp://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/ The National Library of Irelandhttp://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx The National Archives UK ? genealogy search:http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-person/ The Public Records Office of Northern Irelandhttp://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm Irish Newspaper Archives:http://www.irishnewsarchive.com/ The next thing you could do is find the counties and places in Ireland your family names are mostprevalent. Look at the website http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/ and perhapssomething will match some other clue you may have found elsewhere? If nothing turnsup ? it is advisable to try different variations of the spellings of the names. If you have a possiblefirst name you could try the Irish Census 1901, 1911 at www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ or the landvaluation record called Griffiths Valuationhttp://askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml

  • If you are sure that Anne was a daughter (did it have the correct parents names? any other clues that they are your exact couple?)

Then perhaps they moved or had services in another parish, chapel, or church. (You also mention St.Paul's?)

If the College Green was the same as that south of the Liffey River near Trinity College, then perhaps they were not near St.Mary's, and the children might be found listed under another church or parish.

Not sure about prison records. Kilmainham?

Have you found them on the 1901?

Any city trade directorys during your time period?

If you use any research tools for Dublin, or St.Mary's RC, let us know, as others in the interest group here may find the ideas of value too.

Hopefully with a solid basis of the census, you can build on your knowledge, and it will be great to hear your progress.
