My Great Grandmother was Jane Jones 1811 born Limerick. According to marriage records and English census she was born in 1811. In the announcement of her wedding it said that she was the eldest daughter of Major Jones late of Paris. Oral History said she was a blue Blood but disowned on her marriage?

I posted this about a week ago but inadvertadly errased the post and reply.

  • Thank you for pointing out the transcript. She must have lied about her age as she always used 1811 as year of birth but of course it didn't matter much then. They didn't need birth certificates or anything like that.
