Thank you Jane.  I am so pleased to hear from you and Gerald about my Fordes.  Hopefully my daughters and I will be able to find our way around your lovely area. I am especially eager to see the places my grandfather must have spent some time.  My father remembers that his father talked fondly about Lough Corrib often.

My trip is around the corner! We will be checking in to The Thatched Cottage B&B in Claregalway on May28 and checking out on May 31.  Unfortunately, I never received a reply from Gerald regarding my FORDE family and I'm not sure how to meet up with any other of the volunteers.
