My fourth grand-father, John Hughes Colahan, was born in Laurencetown, Galway in 1815.  His parents were John Colahan and Hessy (Esther) Hughes.  His wife, Mary, with whom he came to the United States, was also born in Laurencetown in 1817.  I do not know hwere to start to find out about their ancestry.  Do you have any suggestions?
